Resident ⚠️ SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT – PLEASE BE VIGILANT ⚠️ Derbyshire Police have received a report of suspicious individuals seen looking into gardens in the local area. At this time, no offences have been reported, but the behaviour is concerning and may be linked to potential attempts to identify insecure properties. We are asking residents to remain alert and report anything unusual or out of place. ✅ What You Can DoSecure your property: Ensure all doors, windows, gates, sheds and garages are locked—especially overnight.Remove valuables from view: Keep tools, bikes, and garden equipment out of sight and locked away.Use lighting: Motion‑activated lights or dusk‑til‑dawn lighting can deter opportunistic offenders.Check CCTV/Ring doorbell devices: Report any suspicious footage to police.Look out for neighbours: Especially those who are elderly or vulnerable.Report suspicious activity immediately:- 999 if a crime is in progress
